RCD names David Pintos partner for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and promotes four directors
The five internal promotions strengthen the Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Administrative and Urban Planning and Labour Law areas, in a growth year for the firm.

RCD has appointed David Pintos as partner in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship area and has promoted four professionals to the rank of director: Ismael Peralta, Marina Ramos, Claudio del Castillo and Albert López. The firm announced the five promotions on 15 October 2026.
The appointments strengthen three of the firm's practice areas: Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Administrative and Urban Planning Law and Labour Law. According to the official announcement, the promotions recognise the careers of professionals who have grown within the firm and reflect a culture based on merit and the development of internal talent.
A partner for the technology business
The area Pintos now leads as partner is one of the most strategic for RCD's positioning: advising technology companies and venture transactions, a market where both specialised boutiques and large firms compete. Internal promotion to partner is, in law firm practice, the most direct way to retain a professional who already manages clients and teams of their own.
Adolf Rousaud, co-managing partner of RCD, highlighted in the official note: "These promotions recognise the trajectory and commitment of professionals who have grown with the firm and who today take on new responsibilities. The development of internal talent is an essential part of our culture and one of the foundations on which we build the future of the firm."
Ignasi Costas, also co-managing partner, adds: "The fact that these professionals take on new responsibilities allows us to expand capabilities in strategic areas and to face our clients' needs with greater strength."
Four new directors across three areas
Alongside Pintos's appointment, the firm has promoted Ismael Peralta, Marina Ramos, Claudio del Castillo and Albert López to director, spread across Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Administrative and Urban Planning and Labour. The director rank is, in RCD's structure and that of most Spanish firms, the last step before partnership: it concentrates team leadership and direct relationships with key clients.
That all four promotions happen at once and across different areas suggests a workforce planning decision rather than a one-off adjustment: the firm is covering succession lines and reinforcing the second tier of its growing practices.
Internal promotion and external hiring, in parallel
The five promotions arrive in a growth context that the firm itself also places in external hires: in recent months RCD has added Javier Martínez and Carolina Revenga as partners in Litigation and Insurance, Francisco de Asís García as partner in Tax Procedure and Jordi Diosdado as director in Labour Law.
The combination is significant. Growing firms usually choose between two models: importing partners with their own client portfolios or promoting those who already know the house. RCD is doing both in parallel, which requires integrating cultures and compensation systems without friction, one of the most delicate management exercises for any firm.
RCD has more than 20 specialisation areas and around 400 professionals in Spain, with offices in Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia and Seville, and operates internationally through the DWF group.
An autumn of moves
These promotions add to the intense hiring activity the sector is recording this autumn. In recent days we covered BPV's hiring of Cristina Ayo as litigation partner, the integration of Álvaro Requeijo Abogados into finReg360 and Guillermo Rodrigo's move to Osborne Clarke from Baker McKenzie.
Partner moves between firms also raise deontological questions that the profession has well regulated: we review them in Lawyer moves: deontology and non-compete. For all market news, our Big law firms section covers every relevant move with its context.
