From reporting to follow-up
Each report receives a reference. The bar association acknowledges it and may approach the court where the seriousness justifies intervention. Aggregated information feeds reports sent to Madrid's High Court of Justice and the General Council of the Judiciary.
Figures published by the newspaper show the scale of the problem: the Defence of the Legal Profession department had 1,672 files in 2026, compared with 1,723 across all of 2025. Incidents included 345 adjournments, 125 relating to the new instance courts and 74 concerning LexNET.
ABC also describes a social security hearing scheduled for February 2030 and waits reaching six hours in the 2025 reports. These are examples documented by the source, not a measure of waiting times across all proceedings.
The announced aim is to collect evidence about what happens and support a bar-association response. Launching the application does not yet demonstrate a reduction in delays.
