The tax work behind operations
The additions target Operational Taxes: adapting financial institutions' processes and systems to tax and regulatory obligations. De la Iglesia has almost thirty years of experience covering investment, financing, assets, private banking and insurance.
This follows the move announced on 13 October, when Andersen hired Ignacio Ruiz from AGM Abogados for Tax and added Andrea Gonzalo and Miguel Ponce. That team focused on tax risks in corporate transactions.
The department across Iberia has more than one hundred professionals, including twenty-four partners. Borja de Gabriel and Pablo Gómez-Acebo jointly lead it. The firm presents these hires as part of its specialisation strategy; the announcement does not yet establish their effect on revenue or the client portfolio.
