Bar association job boards: how they work and what the ICAB Job Fair offers
Bar associations publish job offers and career guidance for their members. We explain what those of Seville and Santa Cruz de Tenerife ask for and the figures ICAB gave after its 2026 Job Fair.

When looking for work in the legal sector, general portals are not the only route. Many bar associations have their own job board and guidance services for members. We have reviewed the official websites of three bar associations and summarise how they work, what they ask for and what results the Barcelona Bar Association (ICAB) published from its 2026 Job Fair.
Seville Bar Association: Empleo COAS
The Seville Bar Association published on 7 October 2026 a compilation of the job offers of the COAS Employment Office, with information on training, workshops, employment resources and the Job Board.
According to the bar association, to apply for offers, provide services to the public and collaborate with other members you must:
- Sign a statutory declaration.
- Register on the Job Board.
- Add the professional's specialisms.
The bar association also offers personalised career guidance, in person, by phone or by online appointment, and gives a contact for its Employment Department: empleo@coasevilla.org and telephone 955 051 200.
Santa Cruz de Tenerife Bar Association: public listing
The Santa Cruz de Tenerife Bar Association keeps a list of offers in its public area. Each offer shows title, category, type of employment, company, city, publication date and number of posts. In the 19 October search there was an offer for an administrative assistant to expand a legal team, from the company Montenegro Legal, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, part-time and published on 2 October 2026. It is a good example that these boards also include support roles, not only lawyer positions.
ICAB: Job Fair 2026 and Talent ICAB
ICAB reported on 14 October 2026 that its 2026 Job Fair closed with record participation: more than 300 people registered and 32 stands from law firms, companies and institutions linked to the legal world.
The fair is promoted by Talent ICAB, the bar association's career guidance, entrepreneurship and professional employment service. Its aim, according to ICAB, is to bring the different career paths closer to the legal profession and make it easier to contact directly entities that want to bring in specialised profiles. The note attributes the assessment to the board member responsible for Talent ICAB, Alexander Salvador.
How to make the most of a job board
- Complete your profile. If the bar association asks for specialisms, fill in all of them: it is what those looking for profiles filter on.
- Check the participation requirements. In Seville, for example, the statutory declaration is needed before applying.
- Ask for guidance. Several bar associations offer free career guidance appointments for members, according to their websites.
- Combine routes. Bar association job boards and the offers in our selection of legal job offers complement each other.
If you are in the first years of practice, the courses in ICAM's Abogacía 360 programme and the information on the 2026 bar entrance exam may also help.
In Legal jobs we keep the offers and job boards we find. If your bar association or firm has an offer, send it with the "Post your job" button.
