What the ReICAZ first AI conference is about

The Real e Ilustre Colegio de Abogados de Zaragoza, the bar association of Zaragoza, has launched its first conference series on artificial intelligence, organized by its Digital Law Section and its Training Committee. The starting point is a simple observation: AI can already be part of a law firm's daily work, but choosing the right tool and knowing how to apply it remains a challenge for many lawyers.

The chosen format is one of the most practical available. In each session, the participating AI tools solve a real practical case live, which they only learn about on the spot, with no prior preparation. The audience can watch how each solution handles the same assignment: what questions it asks, which sources it uses, how it structures its answer and where the lawyer's control remains.

Series schedule

The series opened on 6 October and runs across six evenings, from 18:00 to 20:30:

  • 6 October: Lefebvre
  • 20 October: Tirant and Lexroom.ai
  • 27 October: VLex and Maite.ai
  • 3 November: Aranzadi and Prudencia.ai
  • 12 and 18 November: to be confirmed

With the three October sessions already held, the three November dates are still ahead. Demand has been high from the outset: the Decanato hall filled within hours of the bar's latest training bulletin going out, so the sessions moved to the larger Carlos Carnicer hall at the association's headquarters.

The 3 November session: Aranzadi and Prudencia.ai

The next date in the series is Tuesday 3 November, with two tools on stage: Aranzadi and Prudencia.ai, the Spanish legal AI platform for lawyers.

Prudencia.ai brings the pieces of a firm's daily work into a single environment: document drafting (contracts, claims and briefs), legal research with verified sources, contract review with risk-clause detection, a legal assistant that answers in natural language and a case-law search engine. At the ReICAZ session, like the other participants, it will solve the day's practical case live, giving attendees a first-hand look at how a tool of this kind reasons and what it delivers when faced with a real assignment.

The bar association has not yet published the session title or the speaker or speakers' names, so those details remain to be confirmed on the event page itself.

Registration, time and venue

Sessions run from 18:00 to 20:30 in the Carlos Carnicer hall of the Zaragoza bar association. Admission is free for all ReICAZ members with prior registration, and 50 euros for everyone else. Unless the order notes state otherwise, a single registration covers every session in the series. The registration deadline is Monday 16 November at 12:00, through the event page on the bar's website (reicaz.es).

Why it matters for law firms

Series that put tools to the test against a real case, with no prepared demos, answer exactly the question many firms ask before signing up: how does the AI behave when it does not know the problem in advance? It is the same logic as the checklist for evaluating legal AI software before buying that we published on Agente Lex: watching a tool work under real conditions outweighs any sales pitch.

The cycle is also part of a wider wave of bar-led training around AI, such as the ICAM congress on digital assets and AI in the financial sector and the inter-collegiate study on AI in professional legal work, which show how bar associations have moved from debating the technology to organizing hands-on learning.
