ICAVOR is offering an online session on protecting children when they take part in criminal proceedings. The webinar on Barnahus pre-constituted evidence takes place on 25 November from 17:00 to 18:30 and is free with prior registration.

A practice-focused session

Carolina Moreno, coordinator of the Barnahus Child Care Programme at Catalonia's Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences, will explain how this evidence works in the integrated care units.

The session covers reducing repeated statements and the role of lawyers within the Barnahus model. Its stated aim is to prevent the proceedings themselves from increasing the harm suffered by children and adolescents who are victims of sexual violence.

Dean Joan Martínez García will introduce the event and Saida Benedicto Tello will moderate it. The activity forms part of the 25 November commemoration and is open to the legal community.

It will be broadcast live on Zoom; registered participants will receive the link beforehand. Organisational questions can be sent to formacio@icavor.com.
